Wohoo!!!! First ever Scrapbook pages

London 1980

Paris 1987

Hello my dears, I hope you are all enjoying this wonderful weather we are having,  I've been popping in and out of the garden so I don't get frazzled. lol.  I wanted to show you my first ever scrap page layout.   I've been meaning to try this for a long time as I have some wonderful pictures from my travels around the world.

It's a bit like making a giant card really, this is an 8x8 layout and I am definitely going to be making up a full scrapbook, it was really enjoyable and much nicer to look at than just plain photographs. I think this may become my other crafting passion.

I would like to enter The Happy Scrappers 1st Challenge with the theme of Anything goes.

Hugs to everyone and do keep safe in the sun.

Red White and Blue

Good morning my dears,  We are still in the midst of a heatwave here and I'm loving it.

I was having a wee browse through blogland yesterday and came across a few challenges asking for either patriotic colours/crowns/medals etc.  Now I must be honest and admit that I don't have much in the way of these items ready made to produce anything credible.  But I did purchase 2 packets of tissues at the weekend with the Union Jack flag on them from poundland with the idea of using them for something. !!!!!

Well here it is. I used  my TH alterations Sewing room BigZ die to cut out the mannequin and then cut it out again using my tissues which I glued onto the mannequin. It then fell apart because I forgot they were 3ply, so I had to separate them very carefully and apply only the coloured flag part.

I then remembered that I'd won some fabulous Basic Grey inspire me stamps from Simon Says Stamp blog and I knew there was a queen and smaller sentiments within the set, along with hearts and flourishes.  The blue background paper is actually little notelets and all I've done is layered them on top of each other.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, I did have to colour one of them with my indigo blue pro marker and the pretty lace has been coloured with pro markers ruby red and indigo blue.  I can't believe this all started with a packet of tissues. !!!!  lol

I would like to enter the following challenges please:

Sir Stampalot Challenge:  Medals & Monarchs this Month, I don't actually have a medal on my project but I think I deserve one. lol  I'm hoping this qualifies as I haven't missed a challenge yet!!!! but if it doesn't then it's fine just delete it girls.
Papertake Weekly Challenge: True Colours this week
Moving Along with The Times: Celebrations this week but not Birthdays.

Hugs to you all and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Craft All Day - Altered Canvas DT project

Hello my dears,  Yeah!!! it's Friday!!!  Another weekend looms ahead.  I've had such fun today playing in my craft room and creating something a little different for my DT project to post at

The majority of my ingredients came from Sarah's lovely on line store.  She has some gorgeous goodies to suit everyone from sizzix dies' to Magnolia stamps and beautiful furniture.  You really should pop over and take a peek.

I started out with a plain white canvas that I bought with the intention of altering.  Painted it with white acrylic paint then I chose some of Sarah's 6x6 paper variety packs. I ripped and distressed the black paper and used my EK Swiss cheese punch on the blue paper before mounting it onto white distressed card.

The little blue dots on the right of the canvas are the punched out pieces from the blue paper.  I have put a picture block at the bottom of my post to show the items used from Craft All Day.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead of you. I'm off to another all day crop tomorrow which I know is going to be such fun.

Fairy Princess Teddy Bea

Hello everyone,  Happy bank holiday Monday to your all,  as per usual it's dreary and wet.!!!!  Oh well I suppose that's nothing unusual her in the UK.  Anyway I hope my wee card brightens up your day a little.

I bought myself some digital images over the weekend after seeing this adorable teddy on a card over at face book.  It took me ages to choose which ones to buy and this sweet Teddy Bea jumped right into my basket, she comes as a duo in sepia and Grey png format.  I printed off the sepia one and used my copics to colour her and the same colours were used to colour the white flourishes and little corner accents that I cut out from a cheery Lynne die. I will jot down a full list of ingredients used at the bottom of my post.

Thank you for popping to visit,  I wish you all a lovely day ahead.
