Winter Wonderland - Snow much Fun DT card.

Good morning Folks,  It's time for another wonderful challenge over at

This week it's our Team Leader Marianne's turn to be hostess and choose the theme, so this week she would love to see some FUN IN THE SNOW,  this means either people and/or animals having fun with snow and not just a snowman.  I've used one of our Sponsors images for my simple card, covering the bottom with snowtex and a little on his horn for the fun effect.

I do hope you will come on over and join us this week, don't forget to take a peek at the amazing designs from my fellow DT buddies.

The winner will get the choice of 3 images from

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Simon Says Stamp Childrens Challenge - Anything Goes - Ross aged 7

Hi again, this is my other Grandson who couldn't allow the artistic Aaron (his twin brother) to get one over on him when I told them both about Simon Says Stamps challenge for Chidlren.  To let you know, dear sweet Ross is not very artistic, doesn't like to stay within the lines and much prefers to be out in the garden with his gloves on and potting, weeding and digging with Grandad.   But when he saw Aaron creating a card for a competition then I think the Brotherly rivalry came out.  He chose a stamp, paper, colours, embellishments etc and was finished long before his brother ( he wanted back out in the garden with his Grandad) he is such a wee man!!

Anyway after helping him cut his paper, he pulled the gilloutine handle and telling me where his flower should go with the hot glue gun he was off like a rocket with his gardening gloves and wellies (in 60 degrees) back out doors.  Anyway this is his little creation for the challenge.

I love them both dearly, and I'm so proud of them both.  I think my crafting addiction has enthuised them.

Thanks so much for coming in to view their little creations. they are both winners in my eyes,

If you want to see Aarons creation (his twin brother) it's below this post.

Simon Says Childrens Challenge - Anything Goes - Aaron aged 7

Aaron age 7

Some of you may know that my twin Grandson's take a hug interest in my crafting and when I told them about the challenge for Children  over at Simon Says Stamps tonight (they are having a sleep over tonight as they are not in school tomorrow because it's THE WEDDING!!!  they both wanted to join in 'nothing to do with the fact that there is prize on the horizon' lol.  Anyway this is their effort.  They chose their papers, embellishments and images.  This is Arron's choice and he thinks that Kate will wear a purple dress and William will be adorned in lilac to match the dress.  Bless him, he's determined to be a fashion designer when he grows up!!!!

He hopes you like his creation, they are both in bed now as it's late, but I've promised them they will see this post in the morning.

Ross - his twin Brother has made a card as well so that will be my next post.

Tilda is Sitting so Pretty

What a beautiful day we are having here in the West of Scotland. The sun is shining, there is a slight breeze and I've just finished my lunch out in the garden.   I've come indoors only because my hairdresser is about to descend on me and perform her magic on my locks.

I finished this little card this morning and thought I would enter sweet Tilda into a few challenges. The full recipe for my card is below this post.  No point in dragging out the post with the where's and how's of how it was created.  There are lots of different elements used. The only thing I will point out is my first ever handmade hat pin which was created from a very old necklace. I'm quite proud of it, now that I know it's possible I'll be on the lookout for fancier beads etc in the future.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and that the sun shines for you where ever you are.

Pollycraft Monday - Fun and Games final Gdt card

Good Morning, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter day with Family and friends yesterday.  Our day was fairly quiet on the whole just me and Hubby as our Grandchildren are on their hols until Tuesday. Never mind we will make up for it when they come for an overnight on Thursday.  We'll have fun and games then.

Anyhoo I digress!!!  It's Monday which means time for a new challenge over at

This week is my last Gdt spot, I can't believe how quickly the month has gone, it's been a real pleasure to work with Paula and the very talented DT.  Thank you for letting me share my work with you Paula on Pollycraft Monday Challenge.

The theme is Fun and Games,  which can be interpreted in quite a few ways.  The card I've made using Jerry Kisses the Drummer was ideal for my Grandsons Birthday last Friday,  he studies music in school and is a drummer he even has those funny looking electronic drums in his bedroom for practicing.   He loved his card and thought the paperclips and string were "neat".

Our sponsor this week is the lovely Emma from Crafty Emma's Store who is giving one lucky winner a £10.00 voucher to spend in store.

I do hope you will come over and join in the fun and games this week and of course to see the wonderful DT creations that have been made especially for you.

I hope you all have a lovely day today and I'll see you all a little later.

I would like to enter my card into Bunny Zoe's Challenge who have the theme this month of
One for the Boys.

Cherries Galore with Sweet Tilda

Hello my dears,  I hope you are all having a lovely day today, It's not nice here in Scotland, been raining all day, it was supposed to be another sunny day today but as per usual the forecasters have got it wrong!!!

I wanted to show you my latest Tilda Creation. This time i've used sweet Tilda with her gift basket full of cherries.  I coloured her with promarkers and water colour pencils.  My papers are from Prima Annalee and Basic Grey Lemonade. I used a zig glue pen and added Glamour Dust around the outside of the card.

Flowers are a mixture I had in my stash, primas, bo bunny. sllk wild rose. The little flat rosebud  just to the left of the dragonfly I made using vintage seam binding, which I dyed using TH Victorian Velvet distress ink and water. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.

The little dragonfly has been coated in glossy accents and tiny diamate added to it.  The metal cherry charm has been coloured with promarkers. Sentiments are both from Lili of the Valley.

The template you see at the bottom is my tip for Top Tip Tuesday.  Instead of buying expensive pearl or diamante swirls make your own, it will save you a fortune.  I used my piercing tool on card and created 4 different swirls all you need do is place it on your card and with a pencil follow the dots, add your pearls with stickly glue and hey presto you have beautiful swirls wherever you want them.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I do hope you are having a lovely Easter break and that the sun is shining for you even though it's not shining for me.

I would like to enter the following Challenges:

Magnolia-Licious Challenge:  This week there is an inspirational picture to follow below

Top Tip Tuesday Challenge: Have an open theme this week, so anything goes.

Bright & Bold

Good morning my dears,  It's another Tilda this morning only this time there are no pastel colours, it's a very bright and bold card.  Not a colour scheme I would normally choose, but I've made a conscious decision that I need to use up my paper mountain stack before buying any more.  So this is a start.

Sweet Tilda with her little present and party hat have been coloured with pro markers and water colour pencils. The papers are from MME spring and paper mania Rose Garden.  I've machine stitched the outer rim of the card and the layer behind Tilda.  The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts but I didn't have the right colour so I used my pro markers to colour the cherry blossoms in orange.  The full recipe for my card is below this post.

Sir Stampalot challenge - Ladies and Fashion

Hi again folks.  I've been colouring in all day today, my neck, shoulders, fingers are all a bit sore and stiff, so I gave myself a wee break to create this card for the Sir Stampalot challenge which this month is
 Ladies & Fashion.

I've been trying to come up with a project since the beginning of the month and guess what I found in my cupboard, a Kay & Co little Atc book.   So I proceeded to cut out/up etc some of the elements that I thought would suit.   I've only coloured in one of the images, that's the lady at the front with her pretty apron on.  I used my pro markers on her.  I've gone from the 1920's to the 1960's, and you know what !! I like it.

Backing paper is K&Co Life's Journey and the little flower is from Prima.

Thank you for visiting.  I hope you are all having a wonderful day.

The little pink heart was just a plain chipboard one from pin flair, I painted it with white enamel then distressed it with TH Victorian velvet ink, I then added crackle glaze, glossy accents and glamour dust.  The little bunting is my new die from Whiff of Joy, I cut out a larger one by hand for the backing. Another new addition to my ever growing stash is my new doohickey flower die. this has been distressed and stickled also.

Simply Sassy's Star Dust + GDT call

Hi All,   Simply Sassy Inspirational blog are having a Gdt call to work with the next two series in the Simply Sassy range of Rubber stamps.  All you need to do is follow the sketch above, use any Sassy Stamp and hey presto you never know your luck.

I've used the adorable Star Dust stamped with Momento Rich Cocoa,  coloured her skin with Promarkers and her clothing with Derwent water colour pencils.  I've kept my card simple (unusual for me) lol.  I used basic grey Lemonade and Prima Paisley Road papers.  The two hearts are a Manianne D die distressed with TH  victorian velvet ink. Glimmer mist has been added around the edges of the card and the image, and to her little sprinkles of  magical dust that's she is sending out.

I used tiny individual sentiments to make up the little saying, they are from the new papermania fizzy moon collection.

Thanks for popping in to visit, I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.
