CRAFT Challenge #70 - Fancy Florals

Good Morning Everyone,  I hope you are all having a nice week so far.  I'm here with a little sadness this morning.  This will be my last DT card for  C.R.A.F.T.  This was my very first DT post and having been with the girls for just over a year now it's been one of the hardest decisions I've had to make.
I leave with lots of love and admiration for our new DT coordinator Jo, who has done a marvelous job in settling into her new position and also for welcoming the new design team. It was my intention to leave last month but I stayed on to help Jo settle in.  Now that she has everything running so well it's time for me to move on.  I will miss you all girls but will keep in touch via blogger etc.   Okay that's enough, I can feel myself welling up!!!
Onto this week fab challenge which is Fancy Floral's.  We would love to see all your floral decorations whether it be stamps, papers, bought or like me hand made floral creations.
We are being sponsored this week by the lovely Susie Sugar from Die Cut Dreams on line store.  Most of you know that Susie has the most amazing Die cuts around so I'm sure the prize will be fantastic.  Pop on over and take a peek, you won't be disappointed I promise. Just click on the link below.

I've created a very simple card for this challenge, I used the new build a rose stamp from Papermania which has been created to raise funds for Cancer research. For every stamp sold a £2.00 donations is given to the charity.

I stamped it onto quite thick card because I wanted to shape it when I'd finished colouring it with my TH distress inks.  I used tattered rose, fired brick and brushed corduroy, I then applied some distress rock candy and distressed stickles. The card is embossed using an old embossing folder that my Daughter gave me.  The Thank you Sentiment was in a RAK package of goodies received from Pile it on last year which I have distressed with the same inks.

Thank you so much for visiting, do leave a few words to let me know you were here.

Bye for now -  Suzi xox

1. Sentimental Sunday Challenge:  This week are looking for some Dimension on your creation.

2. Allsorts Challenge:  Are this week looking for Plain and Simple
3. Creative Card Crew Challenge:  Would like to see Flowers this week.

Mistletoe Tilda + Challenges

Hello my Friends, Oh but it's cold here today, a very sharp wind is making even more so.  I'm not sure about Autumn it feels more like Winter.    Here is little Tilda with Mistletoe making another appearance.  I'm fairly getting through my Christmas card list.  I just love these icy blues and mixed with the darker blues makes me feel very festive.  The full recipe for my card is below this post.

I have to tell you, I was in my local craft shop on Sunday and they had this huge box from K&Co stuffed with goodies, it was a QVC TSV a couple of months ago @ £39.99 and I got it for £14.00  it had amazing things inside, papers, cards, gems, glittery bits, gift boxes, cones, ribbons, decorations and lots more. This is where the papers came from.

Any way I digress, on with the challenges that this little sweetheart is entering.
1. Totally Tilda challenge:  Susie and the girls are looking for glitter and sparkle.  I've used stickles around the image and on her little lace border on her dress, around the tag, the snowflake is glittered and so are the dripping icicles from my new embossing folder from Craft Concepts it's called drip drops. I've also used silver glittery ribbon.

2. Just Magnolia Challenge:  I followed Dawny P's gorgeous sketch.  I think I'll be using this one over and over. Thank you Dawn.

3. Magnolia Stamp Lovers Challenge:  This week the team would like to see some Lace.

4. 2 Sisters Challenge: The theme this challenge is Christmas.

Well that's me for now folks,  I'm just finishing off another little Tilda (Xmas) so I may upload it later.
Thank you for popping in to visit me, I really do appreciate it. Would you be so kind as to leave a few words and let me know you were here.

Have a wonderful evening.  Suzi xox

Hannah + Challenges

Hello my Dears, I do hope you are all having a nice week so far.  I wanted to show you this beautiful stamp from The Pixie Cottage, her name is Hannah and she is stepping over the stones,  now what little girl doesn't like skipping over water.  This is the first time I've inked her up since she landed on my doorstep from across the pond. I was so fortunate to have won the challenge a few weeks ago at The Pixie Cottage and this is just one of the adorable stamps I chose as my prize.

I've used a mixture of mediums on her. Promarkers for the skin tones and staedler water pencils for her dress, hair and little wellie boots.

I want to enter her into the following challenges.

1. The Pixie Cottage Challenge:  I followed all the outlines of the sketch, but I couldn't fit my image into the centre, so forgive me but I've used my creative license a little. If it doesn't qualify it really doesn't matter. I just wanted to show Michelle my efforts.

2. Charisma Cardz Challenge:  I was so delighted to have been chosen in the top 3 last week,  it means a great deal to me.  This week the girls are having an open theme, so Anything goes.

3. Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge:  Would like to see embossing this week.

I would like to welcome 4 new followers to my blog, Maddy, Lynne, Cat and  Sarah, thank you for becoming my friends.  I really appreciate your support.

I hope you all have a wonderful evening and I'll see you all tomorrow with my DT project for the Prairie Fairy Fun Friday Challenge.

WOYWW#68 - TOO MUCH!!!!

It's good afternoon from me, where has the day gone!!! I was up real early, in fact the sun wasn't up yet, so my photograph was taken with my daylight lamp on. I'm having a colouring in day today and the images are mainly Tilda. I've fallen in love with her all over again. I dare say it's a phase and I'll move on to other images soon enough. These are for my great nieces Christmas Cards and once I have all 14 done I can then start to create the card.

I think I have every colouring medium out, there are water colour pencils, pro markers, copics, and whisper pens and they are all being used in the 4x4 inches I've left myself to work on. lol.

The other picture is a fantastic prize that I won from Creative Craft World Challenge, there are five packs of cards, envelopes papers, etc etc all with themes. Oh the quality is amazing, all presented in this beautiful embossed box (which I will alter at a later date to hold someones Christmas Gift. Thank you Lou. I've been a lucky girl this last week, I also won two beautiful rubber stamps from Pixie Cottage and some copics from Simon Says Blog hop and the Lovely Debbie (my DT Boss) from The Crafty Pad sent me her newest snowmen stamp.
I am truly blessed. Thank you to everyone.

Well that's it from me. I'll catch you all later, in the mean time I'll get back to colouring.

Don't forget to pop over to Miss Julia and show her what you're working on.

Halloween Tilda's + challenges

Hi Friends, It won't be long till Halloween is here, although we don't celebrate it as much as of friends across the water my Grandchildren love to go trick or treating. But here in Scotland we don't just hand out treats willy nilly, Oh No!! the children are encouraged to do a little party piece to receive their treat, either singing a song, dancing, tell a joke etc.

I've made the card for a very Special Lady who has become quite famous where we live, she opens her doors on Halloween for all the children and spends hundreds of pounds on decorations, sweets, gifts etc. The children flock to her house every year because they know she is special.

I've used two Tilda's on my creation, I took the little butterfly out of sitting Tilda and replaced it with a pumpkin. The Papers are Hopscotch by K & Co, all the little extras are from a pack I bought in poundland. The ribbon is from fantasticribbons.co.uk and both Tilda's have been coloured with Pro Markers.

I am entering this into the following Challenges:

I must say I found this a challenging one, I used to use nothing else at one point but have gotten so used to my Pro Markers it's kinda put my pencils on the back burner. But I must say I loved colouring in this beautiful Butterfly from The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs, who is sponsoring us for this weeks challenge. Debbie will let the winner choose any 2 of her digital images. Just click the banner below and hey presto you are there.

I coloured the butterfly first and then thought it had a distressed look, so I chose the papers and the embellishments to further enhance it. The Flower is hand made from a tutorial I found here on blogger and for the life of me I can't remember the link, I will keep looking and as soon as I find it I will let you know who it was from.

I FOUND IT!! The tutorial is at the lovely Vanja's

The papers are from the Jesse Edwards collection "Hampstead" and they are such a treat to work with, I've embossed a piece of plain white card with CB script and then distressed it with Tim Holtz inks, the ticket is TH also and distressed with brushed corduroy ink as was the tips of the flower. the fibres are from my stash and I used Tim Holtz distressing wheel all around the edge of the papers.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit and that you'll pop back to see me again real soon.

For now I will leave you with some of the challenges that inspired this creation.

1. Friday Sketchers Challenge: I followed Jacqui's fab sketch and followed the rules not to enter more than 6 challenges.

2. Sir Stampalot Challenge: This month they would like to see distressing, this is my second entry but as it's a card I am hoping that it qualifies. I've also followed the rule no more than 6 challenges.

3. The ABC Challenge: This week it's the letter D - Distressing.

4. Allsorts Challenge: Would like to see Autumn colours this week

5. The Stamp Man Challenge: Are looking for Distressing this time round
