Prairie Fairy Fun Fridays - A 3d Creation

Good Afternoon my Friends, Well TGIF, I've had a trying week with sick Grandchildren, unexpected visitors, my DH who is not very well, I've been running around like a chicken without it's head. On top of all that I had 5DT projects and 1 GDT project to complete for this week. I'm just so glad the week for me is over.

Anyway I digress!!! It's Friday and that means there is another wonderful challenge over at
Prairie Fairy Fun Fridays. The theme for this week is a 3d project. I know mine could be classed as altered art, which I suppose it is, but to me 3d means anything raised or jutting out of the project.

I bought three of these 10" x 10" canvases, they cost me £1.00 for the three of them, about 50 cents, I was going to hang them in the kitchen but they didn't match the colour scheme so I decided to use them to make myself some Christmas wall hangings, I love decorating my home at Christmas time.

The image I've used is Roberta's beautiful Sugarplum Fairies (available HERE) , aren't these girls adorable, I love how they are giving and receiving the sugarplum gift. Anyway I printed them out 4 times, used promarkers for the skin tones and the hair, and then two different contrasting papers to paper piece their dresses. The rest of the recipe is below this post.

You MUST go visit Fairy Fun Friday and see the absolutely beautiful projects my friends on the DT have created for you this week, they are astonishing and I am so proud to be working with these very talented ladies.

Thank you for popping in to visit, I do hope you enjoyed your stay and I look forward to reading your comments on my little creation.

K.K's Movie Star

Hi Friends, It's been ages and ages since I made a card specifically for a challenge, I do enter challenges but they are based on my DT cards/projects for that week.

It's my Great Niece's 16th Birthday soon and I was going through my stamps and digi images to see what I could find for her. She is not into sweet or cutie, she is a Sassy 16yr old with attitude. So I went browsing the net to try and find something, look what I found - the perfect image from Kenny K.

She is called Movie Star and is ideal for my purpose. I used promarkers to colour her, the Hair is actually French Navy and not black as in the picture. I used Kaban DP's and DCWV texture card for the background. The purple and dark blue embellies on the corners are actually stud earring and I just cut off the studs. The little green sticks are wooden coffee stirrers, I cut them and coloured with lime green promarker. The sentiment is from Create with TLC. I finished it off with prima flowers and a few gems.

Thank for popping in to see me, hope you enjoyed your visit..

Creative Inspirations Challenge - Anything Goes

Good morning everyone, I am so late in posting my DT card for Creative Inspirations Challenge today. It was scheduled, but blogger must have forgotten!!!! again.

This fortnight the theme is Anything Goes, so there is no excuse for not joining us. We were all very fortunate to be given a few of Whimsy images to work with and mine is called Great Day to Fish by Chrissie Armstrong. They certainly are a cute if not an unusual couple. I've coloured them with Promarkers and used K&Co hopscotch papers. The little fishes are printed out from clip art, cut them out and stuck them to the appropriate place on the card. It's a great source, if you need little embellishments that you don't have in your stash box. You will find it in your Word program on the computer.

We are being sponsored this challenge by Whimsy Stamps who are giving one lucky winner $15.00 to spend in their on line store. Do pop over and take a peek.

That's all for now folks, I will be back later with my second DT card.

See you all soon.

Good Morning, I hope you are all having a great start to the week, as some of you already know I have 6yr old twin Grandson's Aaron & Ross, well , when I saw this image I just had to have it. Mmmm.... not appropriate for a couple of wee boys.

One Stop Craft Challenge- 89 - A Splash of Colour DT Card

Good Morning my Dears, I do hope the sun is shining where ever you are, if it is then can you please send some to me. It's been raining and very windy now since Wednesday, and I do miss those lovely sunny mornings.

Never mind maybe our theme over at One Stop Craft Challenge will cheer us all up. It's Janet's choice this week and she has chosen a Splash of Colour, pink, blue, green with a dash of red flowers and a sprinkling of bling. Now how could this colour them not cheer you up.

take your inspiration from the above picture. I've chosen one of Stitchy Bear digi images called Ms South. I love her, that spiky hair and attitude are wonderful, I've coloured her with Promarkers, cut her out and mounted her on a Nellie Multi Frame.

Now believe it or not I just could'nt find any DP to match the colour scheme so I had to improvise. I raided my scrap box and came up with as close a match as I could. Apart from the DCWV textured ice blue card, the rest of the DP are small pieces of crap paper that I couldn't bring myself to throw out. I'm so grateful I kept them.

The flourish is a Marianne creatable die, the flowers are from Creative Craft World the blue glittery butterfly, flowers & heart are from the pound shop, a whole bag of hundreds of die cuts for a £1.00. The red pearls are from quixotic paperie and the sentiment is comp generated.

Our sponsor this week is the lovely Sharon from One Stop Card Crafts and she is going to send the lucky winner a kit full of these wonderful colours

Do pop over and take a peek at the wonderful variety of card my friends on the DT have created for you this week.

Thank you for stopping by - hope you enjoyed your visit and that you'll come back and see me real soon

Bye for now - Suzi xx

Prairie Fairy Fun Fridays - 28 One for the Boys

Good Afternoon, Friday is here, another weekend just around the corner
and it's also the day we announce our new theme for the week over at
Prairie Fairy Fun Fridays.

This week we would like you to create something for the boys in your life.
I've chosen to use Norman, one half of the adorable Hippo duo which can be
bought here from the lovely Roberta's Prairie Fairy Designs store.

I've coloured him with my Promarkers and used Dovecraft Masculine range of papers
My little lonsdale badge came from my hubby's new trainers, I think you are supposed
to hang it from the laces or something, anyway I snazzled it, I knew it would make
a great embellishment.

We had some wonderful creations last week for our inspirational picture and it was lovely
visiting you which is my favourite part of belonging to a DT. I look forward to
seeing all your lovely male creation this coming week.

Do please pop over and take a peek at the wonderful array of cards the my friends

The Crafty Pad & I Did it forum Challenge 1

Good Morning Everyone, Well it's HERE our first

Crafty Pad Stamp Designs Challenge

in conjunction with

I did it Creations Forum.

A brand new venture for me as
Senior DT and coordinator of the challenge.
So please be patient and kind to me as I'm sure there may be hiccups ahead.

Come on over and join in the fun.
The challenge will run initially for a month ending on the 13th August,
so plenty of time for you to enter,
The prize for this challenge will be a choice of 5 images from the
lovely Debbie over at The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs.

We have all used Debbie's images for our cards and you can see for yourself
how fantastic they are.

The Theme for our first challenge is " IF THE SHOE FITS"

Once you have made your creation just pop over to the I did it Forum and enter it into the Gallery under The Crafty Pad Challenge. *Simples* as they say

Here are our wonderful new Design Team Members samples made just for you.
