Hot and Spicy Tilda

Hello my lovelies, Hope you are all having a great weekend. I wanted to show you my card and ask your opinion too please on the skin colour.

I took my inspiration for this card from Just Magnolia challenge. They wanted hot and spicy this week. I was thinking food colours such as cardamon, saffron, cinnamon, green peppercorns etc

I asked my Daughters opinion on what colours to choose and she came up with the idea of colouring a little Asian Tilda. I must say I was a but stumped as to what skin tones to use, but I'm always up for a challenge and this is the end result. I used Dusky pink, blush and oatmeal.

I'm quite pleased with the result although the cheeks area hasn't been as prominent as I'd have liked. It's something I can work on.

I am entering her into the following challenges:

1. Just Magnolia Challenge: are looking for hot and spicy this week

2. Sketch and Stash challenge: I followed their lovely sketch - turned it on it's side. My new stash is my Marianne creatables, flowers and swirls. Also my new ribbon from Fantastic Ribbons. This is the first time I've used this Magnolia stamp too.

3. Magnolia Down Under Challenge: This week are looking for flowers.

4. One Stitch at a Time Challenge: Are looking for something new. My stamp, my Marianne Creatable flowers and my Ribbon are all new.

5. Stamp Something Challenge: Have a recipe this week of Tag, Ribbon, Bow and DP.

I think that's all for me for today, but I'm sure we will catch up tomorrow.

The Crafty Pad - DT card + challenges

Good Afternoon, well it's typical bank holiday weather here today, rain and more rain, so there is nothing else for it but to stay in my little craft room and create.

Today sees another new challenge over at The Crafty Pad, and this week the theme is a Male card and as Fathers Day is just around the corner I've made this for my Grandsons to give to their Dad. They chose the colours for his outfit and the little embellishments.

Now I'm not great at male cards, but when you have the right image it makes it so much easier.
I'm using Albert digging in the garden from The Crafty Pad, I've coloured him with promarkers, used my MS lattice punch to create a fence and my cricut for the words.

Our Sponsor this week is Crafty Sentiments who are very kindly giving one lucky entrant the chance of winning this adorable stamp (Sitting Amy). Don't forget that if you use one of Debbie's images from the Crafty Pad Stamp Designs then you will be entered into the draw twice.

Have you seen the huge Candy challenge over at The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs where there is a multitude of fantastic prizes to win, it's started and closes on 24th June. Just click on the link to see the gorgeous candy up for grabs.

I am also entering this little chap into the following challenges:

1. Crafty Catz Challenge: The theme this week is The Boyz are Back.

2. Pile it On challenge: This week the theme is Eat your Veggie's. ( my interpretation) Albert is digging up his veg so he can eat them.

Thank you for visiting, do come back and see me soon.

Creative Inspirations Challenge DT card + challenges

Good Morning, hope you are all having a wonderful holiday weekend. It's Sunday and that means there is a new challenge over at Creative Inspirations. This week it's the lovely Tracy who has chosen the theme and she has gone for "Stitching" real or faux.

I've gone for faux stitching for the simple reason, my stage effect was built in pieces and I didn't want to take the chance of ruining it with off line stitching. I've used the adorable little ballerina mice digital image from Prairie Fairy and coloured them with my promarkers, I've also glittered the bottom of their tutu's but it hasn't come out in the photo.

My inspiration for the card came from two challenge blogs this week. Simon Says & Digital Tuesday. I'm entering both their challenges and the details are below.

I would like to take this opportunity of welcoming our New DT Memebers - Corry - Merkkari and Debs. Welcome girls, I'm looking forward to working with you all. Do please pop over and see the delightful debut projects they have created and say a big Hi.

Our sponsors this week is the fantastic Whimsy Stamps, who have a wonderful selection of rubber stamps and lots of other gorgeous crafty bits and bobs. Do go take a peek.

We are also being sponsored by the adorable Stef (Glitterbabe) who is a wonderful artist in her own right and a dear friend, she is giving one lucky winner a chance to choose a couple of her digi images

That's about it for now, though I will be back later with another DT card to show you.

See you later. Suzi xx

Other Challenges:

1. Simon Says Challenge: This week the theme is Pink or Blue with Green & Brown.

2. Digital Tuesday Challenge: The theme this week is Cute People. ( I sure hope this qualifies - I know they are mice but oh boy are they cute)!!

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge Blog Hop Winners/ New Challenge

Good Morning Fellow Bloggers
WOW!!! what a great response we had to our Celebration Blog Hop last week, thank you so so much for all your wonderful creations and for making this a very successful hop, cant wait until our next one.

The C.R.A.F.T team hope you all enjoyed our Blogaversary blog-hop immensely - as we did!
All the Team knew the sentence was:- 'Crafting with paper, pencil, scissors, inkpads & embossing-powder is GREAT & !'
(embossing-powder was treated like one word as was 'inkpads, & ) and
so, because it was meant to be a bit of fun, we've not been strict and we've included all variations of the sentence and those who missed the '&' and one who found 'great' but didn't formally include it because they thought there were then too many words! We have 19 correct answers and the randomly chosen winner is.......
Jacky !! Your lucky Girl !! (I'm so jealous!!) lol Enjoy your prize sweetie

Woohoo !! and this is the wonderful prize you have won

A gorgeous Tag- Book Kit by Quick Quotes will be winging it's way to you. Do Email CRAFT your snail mail address so that the lovely Rosemary Merry can send your prize to you asap. Now for my Candy winner who will receive 3 digital images of their choice from the lovely Debbie over at The Crafty Pad stamps design is:
Now I'm not into Random Org: (I don't know how to work it) so I put all 55 names into a bowl and my twin Grandsons (Aaron & Ross) picked a number each then my eldest Grandson (Callum) picked the winner and that was ................
Drum Roll ...............................
............................................
Lorraine: http://loraquilina.blogspot.com/

Congratulations Lorraine: Please email Debbie (Here) on your choice of images. To see all the other WINNERS from the Blog Hop please visit the C.R.A.F.T. challenge blog

Now onto this weeks challenge which is a fab colour combo of Blue & Green

Here is my interpretation of the colours

I've used my Sarah Kay image (which is one of my favs) coloured her with my promakers
Ive used some gorgeous wired organza ribbon for the huge bow. flowers from a posy I dismantled and tinted them with my promarkers, little miniature buttons (they were white and didn't match my colour scheme) so I used Apple green promarker to colour them. I had a white dragonfly (white) so guess what, yes I used my baby blue promarker to colour it too. I don't know what I would do without them.!!! so versatile. The other items on my card are listed below.

I've had a fab week so far, the weather has been kind. I've been on time for 2 hospital appts, 1 Doctors appt. 1 Opticians appt. I've had 2 BBQ's, and today I'm having my Grandson's for a sleep over, and it's only Thursday. WOW, what a week so far.

Well that's all from me for just now anyway. Thank you so much for visiting, hope you enjoyed your stay and that you will come back and see me real soon.

Hugs for now. Suzi xx

Other Challenges I'm entering are :

Stamp Something Hop and Inky Impressions

Hi Girls, well I've had a lovely morning out in the garden but it's way too hot to stay out, I'll end up frazzled. I made this little card for a couple of challenges.

I wanted to tell you about these silk flowers. I bought a couple of bunches of these yesterday at Dunhelm, there are 25x3 tiered flowers in each bunch and about sixty of the tiny ones all for the price of £1.49. Well I thought!!! I can do something with them. I did. I dismantled them and used my promarkers on the tips and on the little buds which I have glued on as brads. Aren't they adorable. The nice thing is I now have flowers to match any colour I'm choosing as the base for my cards.

The two challenges that inspired this card are:

1. Stamp Something Challenge: Are having a Birthday Celebration Blog Hop this week as well as their normal challenge and the theme is 2 of something. I've used two Inky Impression stamps and two flowers. Happy Birthday Girls.

2. Inky Impression Challenge: This week the theme is to choose 2 letters of the work Flowers, I've chosen F = Flowers & R = Ribbon. it's a wonderful combination so pop over and choose the two items you would like to include. This is my first time joining in on the challenge and I've used Lili's secret and Angelica's heart socks. I love these images, they stamp so well, nice and clear and clean.

Well I think that's gonna be all from me today cause I'm working tonight and need to go organise myself soon.

Hugs for now, see you all tomorrow.

The Crafty Pad - Over the Edge - DT Card

Good Morning, another glorious day here today and I intend spending it in my garden pottering around and topping up my tan from my recent holiday.

As it's Sunday that means its time for another fab challenge over at The Crafty Pad this week.
The theme chosen is Over The Edge - It's a nice easy challenge, all you need to do is have either a tag, ticket, die cut etc over the edge of your card. I've put my handmade paper over the edge of my card and my little ticket sentiment.

I've made a very simple card this week (not my usual style) and used one of Debbie's new digital images the Guitar You Rock, it comes with the words and the border. I think it's an ideal image for all ages and gender. I've used mine for a teenage boy, who just adores guitars. I've also re sized the image to make a tag for the inside of the card.

Our Sponsor this week is the fab Letraset, who are giving our winner
1 set (5 promarkers) - Spring theme colour. How fab is that. We are really looking forward to seeing all your wonderful creations again this week.

Thank you so much for your visit, I hope you enjoyed your stay and that you will come back to see me soon. Have a wonderful day. Suzi x

Other challenges this qualifies for are :

1. Allsorts Challenge: Have a Tag/label theme this week

2. Daring Cardmakers Challenge: Are in a BoyZone this week

3. Creative Inspirations Challenge: Would like to see a card for a child.

Good Morning all, hope you are all having a wonderful weekend and that you have lots of sunshine where ever you are.

It's Saturday and that means it time for another challenge over at One Stop Craft Challenge
This week the theme has been set by our lovely Shelley - and it's BIRTHSTONES.
I'm a January baby and my birthstone is Garnet ( and I must tell you it's my least favourite of all the precious Gems) so I've gone for my Daughters birthstone which is DIAMONDS, she had to have something special having been born on the 1st of April (bless her)

I've gone with shades of pink and used the diamonds in Tildas little head dress, the embossed mount board and the brad. I've also hand made the flower from 2" & 1" scallop nesties. This is a new stamp for me and I think she is just adorable.

Do pop over and see the other wonderful creations that my fellow DT colleagues have created for you this week.

Thank you for visiting and I look forward to seeing all your beautiful creations in the coming week.

Prairie Fairy Fun Fridays - DT Card + challenges

Good Afternoon everyone, oh what a glorious day it is here in Bonny Scotland. The sun is shining, there is a very light breeze and I've just finished my late lunch in the garden, and it's the start of the weekend. What more could you ask for.

As it's Friday it's the start of a brand new challenge over at Prairie Fairy Fun Fridays. This week we have the theme of a Tent Card. I'm loving this shaped card, if you've never done one then I promise it's easy peasy. Don't forget it's not necessary to have a dangling image, it's the shape of the tent that matters. I thought my gorgeous image of the little dancing ballerina from Prairie Fairy Designs was ideal to dangle on my jump rings. It makes her look as if she is really dancing.

I must say that we had a fantastic response to last weeks challenge and I had the most wonderful week visiting all of your fantastic creations, I don't envy my Queen having to choose a winner , No. 1 spot and 3 runners up. That's what happens every single week of our challenges.

The Random Winner: can choose 5 images from Prairie Fairy Designs.

No. 1 Spot winner: has a choice of 3 images from Prairie Fairy Designs

3 Runner up winners: will receive a wonderful badge to display on their blogs.

Do pop over and take a look at my friends and fellow DT members gorgeous creations this week, they are just awesome.

Sitting Pretty Gift Set + Challenges

Hi Friends, I've been so busy this last week catching up with my DT responsibilities that I didn't have time to make anything for the wonderful challenges. So yesterday I visited some of my favourite challenge blogs and took elements from them to come up with this creation.

I think it's lovely but there is an error on the sweetie box. I picked up the wrong promarker to colour the wings and instead of pale pink I ended up with cocktail pink. Oh well these things happen, and I really couldn't be bothered printing out another image. I'm sure who ever receives it won't notice (fingers crossed)

The challenges that gave me the inspiration are:

1. One Stitch at a Time Challenge: Would like to see anything but a card. So I'll enter the box just please Stitchy. Just ignore the card hun.

2. Charisma Cradz Challenge: Are looking for a sweet treat, my box will be filled with either home made choccie's or Scottish tablet. (promise)

3. Stamp Something: Would like to see us Celebrate something this week

4. Allsorts Challenge: Birthday Blog Hop this week, I've already done the hop and made a card but thought I'd enter this one too. If it doesn't qualify then no problem girls.

5. Papertake Weekly Challenge: Say it with Flowers this week

6. Pollycraft Monday Challenge: Are asking us to use our Summer Blooms

7. Die Cut Dreams Challenge: This week would like to see some Lace

8. A Spoon full of Sugar Challenge: Are looking for Cute & Girly

9. Passion for Promarkers Challenge:
Would love to have a bit of Fantasy/Mythology. I think my sweet fairy is a bit of both.

10 Crafty Cardmakers Challenge: Would like to see Inside Out. It's the inside of the card that's important this week.

Well I think that's all for now folks. Hope you are all having a wonderful day.
Thank you for visiting, I do hope you will come back and see me again soon.

House Mouse & Friends Challenge

Hi again folks, This is my 2nd post today, I've just found this wonderful challenge blog via the lovely Lorriane (Lorraine's Loft) , I've been a long time follower of her blog and admire her work so much. She has been chosen as one of the new DT members (Congratulations hun)
Lorraine has a gorgeous House Mouse Stamp for Candy in celebration of her new post.
Here it is. Just click on the stamp to take you to Lorraine's

I bought my stampfrom the lovely Jude over at Craft International a couple of weeks ago, it's my first House Mouse Stamp and I can't wait to get my hands on some more. I just love the designs.

It's Fathers day soon here in the UK, sadly I lost both Mum & Dad at a young age but when these special occasions come round I have always bought them a card and put it on my mantle piece. This year is the first time I've made my Dad a hand made card, I'm sure he would have appreciated it as he always loved any kind of wild life and this image would have tickled him.

So this will be displayed in June when his day comes round and I will have a wee nip of whisky for him ( he liked that too occasionally)

The Theme over at House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge is: Distressing

Creative Inspirations Challenge - DT card + challenges

Good Morning my lovelies, Hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday, the skies are very grey and ominous here at the moment, I'm hoping it comes to nothing as we are having friends over for a BBQ at lunchtime!!!! keep your fingers crossed for us.

Well it is Sunday and that means there is another fantastic challenge over at CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS this week, the theme has been chosen by our lovely Cheryl and she would like to see Punches or Die Cuts on your creations.

Our sponsor this week is STITCHY BEAR STAMPS and the winner will have the choice of 3 of their wonderful digi images. They gave the design team some wonderful images to play with. I chose Lil Angel, she is so cute, love that frock and those big eyes. I've used Promarkers to colour her and Glamour dust for her wings and halo. I used my MS double sided lace doily punch and my Sizzix Bigz accents #8 die cut for the swirls.

Do come and join us this week and remember to visit the other DT members to say Hi and take a look at their wonderful creation this week.

Last but not least can I say a huge Congratulations to our newest DT members who will be joining us very soon, that's Deb's ~ Merkkair ~ Corry ~ really looking forward to working with you girls, you're work is outstanding.

Well that's all for now folks, I will be back shortly with another little creation, first I need another cuppa.
